DOT-C2 REFLECTIVE CONSPICUITY TAPE
These packs contain 15 metres x 50mm of DOT-C2 Adhesive Conspicuity Tape which is enough tape to surround the rear ends of HGV’s based on a maximum width of 2.55 metres and a maximum height of 4.30 metres
DOT Truck (Tractor Trailer) marking requirements help improve visibility in low light conditions and reduce the probability of fatal motor vehicle crashes into the sides or back of stopped or parked trucks and tractor trailers at night or in poor visibility conditions.
In order to be certified as DOT-C2 tape, certain requirements have to be met. These requirements involve the construction of the tape, the color, the width, the spacing of the alternating colors, the performance, and the reflectivity. our tape has been certified to meet these standards and it carries the DOT C2 certification is marked on the tape.
Using Retro-Reflective Material
Outlining the rear of your vehicle with retro-reflective material significantly improves its visibility. This material reflects other motorists’ lights back off your vehicle. Reflective ‘conspicuity tape’ is effective, and quick and easy to apply. To be effective, the tape should be at least 50mm wide and be clean.
